Possibly rare tank and cannon coin bank

Hello, I am a new member who has an odd item from our family posessions. I am hoping I'll be able to upload a couple of images below.

It is a model tank with cannon that 'fires' a coin into the body of the tank. It appears to be cast in a light metal possibly aluminium. The tank measures about 9" long by 4" wide (inc. the side guns).

Now, my limited research shows that there was a 'Tank Bank' drive in 1918, and I was wondering if this could be in some way connected?

Underneath the cannon it says 'Starkies Patent 12212'

If any member has any information I would be most grateful

Starkies made a number of novelty money boxes or coin banks as they were called back then, their most famous is the negro that swallows the coin.

Your decision now is to keep it as is or have it restored. I think I would have it restored if it was mine.
