Hi, i have some questions. I found some information:
Question 1: The battalion was active on the Kemmel on April 25, 1918. The body of a private (Peter Robert Jones) was not found and he is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial on panel 159 (right below). Yet I ask myself if this is true? Can it be true that his battalion was indeed actively at Kemmel but that his name still appears on a monument 23 km further (Tyne Cot)?
Question 2: The German Infantry do an attack with tanks. Which German units, brigades and / or divisions were active Kemmel on this date? And how they came to the tanks? Were A7V's of these were captured French and British tanks? If captured tanks, which were the models (Mark II's? Mark IV's? Schneiders? FT-17's? St. Chamonds? Whippets?)?
Question 3: Kemmel should be defended by the French 2nd Cavalry Corps. So the French tank units are also active? Or among the French tanks not to the Cavalry?
Question 4: the 13th Battalion was part of the 25th Division? Is this true and wich units are also active in this division on that date?
Question 5: under wich French person was the 2nd Cavalry Corps under the command?
Question 6: What was the Bruchmüller artillery bombardment anyway?
