Barrel width appears thinner and is constant with the 7,7cm lFK 1916.  The 10,5cm lFH 1916 barrel looks shorter and fatter.  You are correct about the carriage being the same.

These are a few examples of 10,5cm lFH 1916:

These are the 7,7cm lFK 1916:

Hope this helps

Good morning, gentlemen.  I've been lurking for a very long time on Landships and enjoy reading and learning from your expertise.  I've always felt comfortable ID'ing World War I guns using this site, Kosar and Jaeger; however, my eyes are getting older and I'm doubting what I see in this photo.  So, I'm asking for your help...

I convinced myself that this is a battery of 7.7 cm Feldkanone 16...probably n/A...based on the barrel length and the opening where the tube passes through the shield.  However, the silhouette is making me wonder if I'm right since it is similar to the 10.5 cm leichte Feldhaubitze 16; I believe they shared the same carriage.

So, I'm hoping the Landships experts will offer their thoughts...  Thanks in advance.
