This one is probably the best:

Be aware that the colour profiles in Lawrynowicz's book aren't accurate - it seems that the Saint-Chamond tanks were painted overall in "gris artillerie" (artillery grey) and the camo colours

and patterns added later.

If you search on the forum there's a long discussion about the St-Chamond tank - look for St-Chamond papermodel.

Another good resource is: http://www.chars-francais.net/new/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=61&Itemid=37

Regards,

Charlie

Well, an interesting book, but not THE book!
The colour profiles aren't accurate and the text is mostly taken from older articles or books and sometime right, sometime wrong!
The best studies about the St Chamons could be found in the french forum :

Bonjour Gilles,

Since 2009, Landships is always inform on new tank's topic from "pages 14-18".

Perhaps, could you also inform "Samll Tracks" forum members.

I am nots sure that Laurent (Flab42), who also built a Saint Chamond from Takom, knew all these tank's topics from "pages 14-18".

Bonne Après-midi - Michel

Hello Michel!

I will check but I thought I already post the link on Small tracks.
If I didn't I'll do soon!

Overall the drawings in the Gunpower book are pretty accurate but there are some detail discrepancies with the early (flat roof) St. Chamond, the cupolas are shown as true ellipses but they should all be parallel sided with semicircular ends.
I stand to be corrected on this one but with over 300 St. Chamond photos in my collection I've never found one of a flat roof version with spaced armour that has vertical reinforcing ribs... to date every kit I've seen sports this feature!

Thank you!
I did not say that the images in the book are perfect. I said that they are more accurate than in the Polish book. Alas, there is an error, and I know about it. I'll fix.
