RE: Mk 1 Tank - Grenade Canopy

Hey! Here's a photo I found interesting, showing a grenade canopy with some beams somewhat charred.

It shows King Albert I of Belgium inspecting a British tank near Pozieres, 15 May 1917. Image by official war photographer Ernest Brooks. From collection of the Imperial War Museum, © IWM (Q 3236).

The tank is Corunna, manned by the C16 Crew and commanded by Eric Purdy.

I have not seen the photo of the ditched tank - could I ask for a copy?

It must be a C Company tank from 2, 3 or 4 sections as D Company tanks and those from 1 Section of C Company (used at Courcelette) arrived too late on the Somme to have the grenande canopies fitted.

Forgive me adding to this thread but I thought it might do to bring it closer to the MB tank build for the benefit of modellers following that thread.

Ah, pero que bien! Vamos a tratar de volver este lugar en un foro hispanoparlante, te parece?
In the meanwhile, I would advise to start with the measurements of the canopy as given by an ancient PDF file here: http://home.hccnet.nl/h.van.oerle/mk1/mk1-con.htm as done exactly to this instructions, seems to fit perfectly my own Airfix kit.
