Does such a thing exist?

I've heard about 200 towns got their own tank after the war, is their a list anywhere of these?

The nearest thing is the Friends of the Lincoln Tank CD-ROM "The Great War Presentation Tanks of England and Wales. As listed in the National War Savings Committee’s 1919 ‘Silver Bullet List’".

Published 2010, should be available fro FOTLT on www.friends-of-the-lincoln-tank.co.uk.

You did specify the UK and as we all know that is not the same thing as England and Wales. However, the Scottish tanks were under a completely different war savings scheme and there weren't many anyway. I don't think there were any in Ireland (all still part of the UK in 1919 too) but that might have been because of the risks of leaving armoured vehicles lying around for anyone to collect should they so wish. So that CD will go a very long way to satisfying you (unless of course you come from north of the border!).

Lots of photos of it on Landships, in the Surviving Mark IV section.
