Excellent photo of Damon II. I have seen it before but not this clearly. You can see the large outlined crew numbers that D Battalion were using at this time.
The photo above of the MkII female is usually captioned as having been taken at Vimy Ridge, which suggests that it is tank 598, D43 of 12 Co., D Bn., which supported the Canadian assault on 9/4/17. Tank 599 of 8 Co., C Bn. was knocked out near The Harp at Tilloy, south of the Scarpe River on April 9.
Tank 598 was destroyed by shellfire at the 2nd battle of Bullecourt on 3/5/17. I think that the photo below shows the wreck.
