That's typical. I have stopped off in Bloomington half a dozen times and never knew it was there. Will make a point of diverting there next time I am in IL. It would be nice if it could be under cover. The Mid West winters must be a bit hard on it.
Yes, Tim, it's really quite surprising how much WW1 stuff there is in the US of A.
And when I asked, on another forum, if anybody knew where there was any WW1 stuff, nobody seemed to know. There are some quite valuable pieces just sitting out in the elements.
A couple of the forummers here, jagjetta and michael6367 (Mike Casale), have taken some photos. And Mike mentions Dick Pope as having made a list, but I haven't been able to access it (Doughboysofnyc seems to be not working any more).
There is a M1917 in very good condition at Ft. Benning, here is how I found her in March 2013. Part of the Old Patton Museum Collection...I should have asked if she was a runner.

Thanks, dubliner. Am I correct in thinking that there is a Christie M1919 somewhere in the USA, I think it may have been at Aberdeen Proving Grounds? Is it now at Fort Benning?
Rectalgia, thanks, I had indeed forgot.
Massimo Foti, always good to have a reminder. I have helped Pierre in the past, and can't recommend highly enough the various projects he has done for WW1-era tanks.
There's a T3 Christie from 1932 there and an M1922 Medium (Turret looks similar to that of the M1919) , the sole Christie M1919 hasn't survived. It was rebuilt to make the M1921.
As information, I'm sad to say Dick Pope passed away this past August. He was a retired academia member, but without the superior persona. A delightful and charming fellow who is missed by all who knew him.
