Caesar Models WW1 Soldiers

Hello,


I have heard that Caesar has some WW1 Soldiers in 1/72, but have neither seen them in a store nor have I seen ever pictures of them.


Does anyone have info, review and/or photos of following Caesar kits?


H034 - WWI French Army
H035 - WWI German Army


I would highly aprreciate that!

These are all the figures which are supposed to be in progress. The earlier posting (Massive Reinforcements . . . ) goes into who's doing what. According to Strelets they're releasing 5 sets by July this year.


To what I know its following sets , all made by HÄT: Already released are: 8112 WWI American Infantry 8122 WWI Serbian Infantry  8123 WWI German Colonial Infantry  Following are: 8111 WWI Canadian Infantry WWI French Infantry WWI French 75mm gun (late war)  WWI French 75mm gun (early war) Did you mean this sets?

Yes, those plus French & German infantry from Caesar, Pershing's Expeditionary Force from Imex, French infantry from Pegasus, and Italians from Waterloo 1815. The HaT Italians seem to have disappeared again, but Pegasus are promising 1939 Polish Uhlans, which will make very good conversions to cavalry of most of the WW1 combatants, and 1940 French, which may also come in handy.If you go to Strelets' Future Releases page at http://www.strelets-r.com/FutureReleases.html  and scroll down past the Boer War section, it looks as if that is going to be all WW1. If it is, that's splendid news.


The Pegasus prototypes look terrific, and if Caesar's are up to the standard of their existing sets they should be splendid as well. HaT seem to have gone downhill since the Ottoman infantry. Incidentally, well done to PK for finding that link to Panzer46; a great site but no explanation as to who they are. Anyone know anything about them?

caesar are also promising Russians and Japanese from the Russo-Japanese war. which should be useful.


and there are the french, zoaves and prussians from the franco-prussian war, promised by Emhar, which may also be useful.

By the way, Doggowitz, the German soldier in your photo bears an uncanny resemblance to a now-dead British comedy actor called Terry-Thomas. Really. You might have seen him as the dastardly competitor in Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines.

ICM makes nice french and prussian soldiers, that are good start for conversions into early war germans and early war french
