The tank, as you probably know is a Mark V, either a Male or a Composite (aka Hermaphrodite). It might be possible to tell if I could see the serial number behind the sponson but unfortunately it's unreadable. Are you able to tell us any more about your father's time with the US Tank Corps, or about the tank?
