Hello,

Is there somebody who can give me informations, name of a book, website, contact,...

All real good informations about 1st tank vs tank battle WW1 near VB (Somme) ?

I need to make an interactive 3D map who explain this battle.

A 3D map is usefull to show the topography, like this :
http://historial-14-18.com/cahier_service_educatif/carte_thiepval.php

[[ Only with a recent browser exemple Firefox, Chrome, ... NOT Internet Explorer
If the loader don't go to 100%, press F5 key to reload the page. ]]

Is there somebody who have a trench map of this area (Villers-Bretonneux, Cachy)?

Thks for help

Yves

There was a Osprey published about Villers Bretonneux. Obviously there is Mitchell's own account in "Tank Warfare". Certainly look at Heinz Guderian's "Panzer Leader", which gives an alternative to the British accounts and in my view is a more balanced and reflective perspective.

Try Mitchell's account from his 1933 book "Tank Warfare – The Story of the Tanks in the Great War"

Hi,

The beginning of the 3D map.

(Always with a recent browser).

Yves

Next : I have to make a timeline and more code to save locations.

Then, I'll create interpolations to animate tanks, frontline and describe the battle.
