As the topic title says, I would like to ask permission from the group if we could extend the finish date of the 1st official GROUP BUILD here at Landships. As some of you know, I am the guilty party who started this whole thing and have been wholly impressed by the efforts of the membership to in fact build something for this GB that focuses on British Tanks of the Great War. In fact, I had two entries I was working on for this GB. One was my Whippet {although a mere shadow compared to our good Tim R's more involved variant on the same theme}, and the other was an Emhar Mk. IV 'female' {which got a tad 'mired' because I as attempting to scratch up some 1/35th scale track grousers...} But, I have had to refocus my attention to more personal matters of late and have not had the time to build anything during that time and was wondering if I could beg of the memberships indulgence in adding an additional 30 days or so to the 'end' date of the Group Build? This would be entirely up to you fellas, especially since some of you worked pretty darn hard to finish your projects within the originally assigned timeline. So I'm not sure if this would be entirely fair to all concerned...but, if maybe some of you still need more time, then it just might be more acceptable to All involved............
Roger Todd wrote: Well, Treaders, as the instigator of the build, I would have thought you don't need to ask permission - it's up to you! I for one would welcome such a move as I've done bugger-all...
........being from, as they say, the 'old school', and a man of manners, I felt it proper to seek potential support for the extension from my brethren here first....

Great to hear from you Paul...with any luck we can add your project to the completed ranks

Don't tell me you have an ol' Airfix {?} Bill bus kit there Paul??....man, I've been lookin' for one of those for a coon's age without success...I would love to see you build up one of those. I, on the other hand, am fortunate enough to have my fellow compatriot's here at Landships buttressing up my lack of plastic and have a kit-bash scheduled for an Airfix 1/32nd scale Dennis Fire engine/Omnibus kit into a Bill Bus at some time in the future.
But Paul.....please feel free to step all OVER my plans and build it!!
".... Sounds good to me. I've had a few delays also....."
Kewlllll ...that makes 4 so far. Heck, with a FULL 30 more days to work on these things, I think it might even bepossible for a few 'late-comers' to jump on board.....any takers?
Thanks for the inspiration and extension, Treadhead. Here's the Airfix HMLS Centipede/Mk.I/Mk.II/Mk.III/supply tank/Bovington exhibit on it's way to becoming Mother, with a little help from Matador - no moaning about the boilermaker's pitch this time! More to follow...
