Posted on the Axishistory forum, but I guess there are some folks here who might be able to help. No information, just two pics. Could be some German WW1 era prototype or modification.
The gun looks very similar to the 1918 9cm Rheinmetall field gun but there are a number of detail differences.
The Rheinmetall design was recycled after WW1 by Solothurn (effectively Rheinmetall in Switzerland) as an 88mm field gun - this design was sold to the Chinese and built as the Liao Type 18 88mm field gun. There is a surviving Liao gun in the Beijing Military Museum. My guess is the images are of the prototype of the Solothurn gun.
