Does anyone know the dimensions (length, height, width) of the Skoda 30.5cm Mörser M.16? Also its rate of fire? I have seen 2-4 rounds per minute (seems high) and one round evry four minutes. That is quite a disparity in rates of fire.

10-12 rounds per hour is also quoted, sounds more realistic to me, with a 287-384Kg shell. That'd be hard work to sustain that too, even with a crew of 15-17 men. This YouTube clip shows the loading procedure & it doesn't seem to give the entire process, it's 52 seconds long. I'd think that the ammunition would be kept some distance from the weapon, so collect from shell pile, load onto cart, push to gun, unload from cart, put onto loading cradle, ram into chamber, load firing charge, close breech, elevate barrel, retire to safe distance, pull lanyard. BANG! I'd go with a shot every 4 minutes or so as realistic for sustained fire. www.youtube.com/watch
