Flirt II
Permalink

Hi all Gents

I'm currently working on the Takom Mk IV to make Flirt II out of it

Since, as far as I know, Flirt II had the envelope radiator, I have to modify the rear plate of the model

Is it likely that it looked like in the photo, with the squarish plate for the radiator above the radiator armor?

Thanks in advance 😊IMG_20190824_121121.jpg

Ehm, I mean the squarish plate for the radiator filler cap, of course...

Here is some pic of Flirt II

The Takom Mk IV has been modified to look like Flirt II at Cambrai

Maybe there is some inaccuracy, this is the best I could do, though☺️

Hi all

Here are some pics of Flirt II finished

The vehicle has the 4 of Clubs since I reproduced it just before the action at Bourlon

Really a nice work on this MarkIV!
I especially like the mud you add on both hull and tracks.

Weathering is definitely the funny side of modelling 😊

Sometimes, I think modellers have over-weathered their AFVs, streaked in rust & chipped.
Yours is, however, bang on!

Thanks Adam
Actually, today's trend is to overdo the weathering (IMHO) especially the rust effect...
These WWI AFVs were more likely dirty than rusted, even if Flirt II wasn't a very young one at Bourlon😊
