Paint and markings of a 1920 armoured car?

I am building the Roden 1/72 1920 Rolls Royce armoured car. I removed the hexagon on the turret roof as it is an repair when the cupola was removed after servicing in Shanghai.

I want to build my as a car from the early 1920's but decals are for three WW2 cars.

How would it be painted and marked in British Army service? Another alternative would be an early Irish car but I get conflicting information here.

Some sources said that they would be a greenish grey colour while the restored car ended up in something like blue grey.
In black and white pictures the cars look very dark so the blue grey is perhaps right? I've seen a picture with a row of parked cars and there are a mix of dark and light paint among them.
