Learning to model differently......

Just started Fusion 360, and while the curve is steep, I'm enjoying every minute of it!

making some oily bits for the Mark IV.

Final drive upper part:

final drive was based off a general layout drawing with a lot of details.

Block however is done off some very faint outside lines on the general drawing, and then filling in the details based on looks.

If you've any measurements of the engine they would be very welcome!

I am learning Fusion 360 and want to dxf the files to cut plate with laser or waterjet cutter etc. Trying to find info how to find sizes and scale up components like armour plate and how to bevel the edges to fit to build the main body and turret for a tank. As you say finding drawings helps a lot. I thought about scaling from models, then proof measuring the original to what i have made to see how far you can be out. Better still measuring from the original but that can take quite some time and to find the original you want to copy.
