The Trefass-Wagen was a Hansa-Lloyd design from 1917. The prototype was finished on February 1st, 1917. It had two large steel wheels with a diameter of approximately 11ft. The rear wheel was similar to a large caster and was used for steering. It had extensions mounted on both sides of the steering yoke to help keep it from digging in soft ground. The engine's air intake is at the top rear angled part of the chassis. The pipe at the top rear is the exhaust. The crew climbed in from the front via the foot and handles (on the prototype). The main armament, a 2cm Becker M2 'TuF' (Tank-und-Flieger) gun, was to be mounted at the front behind some armor plating. The 2x MG08 machine guns were mounted on the chassis sides, directly behind the main wheels. The bulges are plated-over on the prototype, but would have served as the MG positions.
