Doesn't look like a Krupp gun. Most of the Krupp guns used a sliding wedge breech - this seems to have plain end to the barrel which indicates an interrupted screw
breech. At a guess I'd say its Russian or French from the 1870s(?).

Thanks a lot. That was my opinion too. Because of the photo was fro m Kovno, I assume it´s a russian one. But I couldn´t find any in my books or in the www.
These guns were part of the Ruski defense guarding the Gulf of Riga; likely on the island of Oesel . The October 1917 German combined naval/land assault on the area was successful and the batteries were all captured.
Hi Charlie! Yes, of course, 25,4cm! I mixed the numbers... Sorry for that! That will it be! The germans didn´t ship them to Germany, so they could be used in Finland. Good point! I´ve found another in my collection!
