I haven’t seen this photo, but there is another photo of this vehicle, also in French hands. I can’t remember where, but it was established that this car (probably Mercedes) in reality was not armoured. Also, you won’t find it in books on WW1 German armoured cars by Rainer Strasheim and Heinrich Kaufhold-Roll.
