Stumbled across this novelty item on this rather odd site:

The Adjutant of His Excellency (Adyutant ego prevoskhoditelstva) is a Soviet 1969 mini-series directed by Evgeniy Tashkov. The story is set in 1919-1920, during the Russian civil war. Pavel Andreevitch Koltsov (Yuriy Solomin), an agent of Red intellegence service, infiltrates the White Volunteer Army and becomes an adjutant to General Kovalevsky (Vladislav Strzhelchik). He successfully performs several operations, including the uncover of the White agent in Reds headquarters, but at last Koltsov has to expose his true identity when he destroys the train that delivers British tanks, sent to White troops, to frontline.

Naturally, intrigued by the reference to tanks and the White Army, I had to have a look.

British tanks, issued to White troops, are seen in the final episode. These are full-size mockups of Mark V Composite. Probably the mockups are based on genuine Mark V Composites, preserved in Lugansk and Kharkov museums.

1. A tank is unloaded from a British steamer. Note the small "female" sponson for machine guns.

2. The tank is seen from another side. The sponson is "male" version, for 6-pounder gun.

3. In the scene of railway accident, organised by Koltsov, the tanks are scale models.

I'll see if I can contact the author and find out if the series can be viewed.

On the M1911A1's the Russians recieved some as part of LL in WW II/GPW.

The Tsarist Government in WW I did buy 51,000 commercial model 1911s from the S/N range C23,000 to C89,000

The most (in)famous of these is C71905 used by Yakov Yurovsky to kill ex-Tsar Nicholas II and finish off his son Alexei. I understand it is or was in the Central Museum of modern Russian history formerly the central Museum of the Revolution in Moscow. Yurovsky was the head of the Cheka execution squad that murdered Nicholas and his family and their remaining servants in July 1918. The book "Last Days of the Romanovs" by Helen Rappanport.

Besides Yurovsky another member of the Cheka execution squad Michael Kurdrin also used a 1911

The Russians at the time called the 1911s Colts.

The Kiev Cheka used them to shoot victims

I have also read somewhere about a Russian Army officer carrying a 1911 in 1917

The unloading of the tanks: 34m 14s to 34m 49s, then 35m 24 to 35m 35s.

The build-up to the sabotage of the train carrying the Mark Vs begins at about 45m 20s. Koltsov switches the points and hijacks the train so it's on the same track as a freight train. He jumps clear, and the two trains collide head-on. The resulting special effects explosion is shown between 1h 07m 38s and 1h 08m 04s.
