The US built two different tractor caissons at the end of WW1 in response to criticism that the Holt artillery tractors
could not carry any men or ammunition with the towed gun. In effect they produced US versions of the Schneider CD artillery
tractor. The tractor caissons were based on the Holt 5-ton (Mark VII Tractor Caisson) and 10-ton (Mark VIII Tractor Caisson) artillery tractors.
I have a decent amount of images and data on the Mark VII for a Landships II article on these vehicles but almost nothing on the Mark VIII.
Does anyone have images of the Mark VIII? I've attached a scan of the tiny image in Crismon's "US Military Tracked Vehicles".
Regards,
Charlie
