I have started scratchbuilding a few pieces of WDLR rolling stock in 1/35th scale.

A Model Ford Crewe Tractor using pieced from ICM Ford ute mounted on a Black Beatle motor bogie.

And a Simplex 40hp that will be semi armoured.

Once I have some rolling stock finished I will start a small portable layout designed for exhibiting.

This is looking great. Nice clean build on the WDLR and also incredible work on the Track, Ties and Fasteners (I have the same question as Jim LOL). I can't wait to see this in a finished diorama if that is the route you are going with this piece. Thanks for photographing and posting your progress so far as I know this can be a real pain at times to keep up with. Thanks again for the post and I'll keep watching the progress.

The track looks like Peco Narrow Gauge 016.5/On30 track to me - 16.5mm track would fit the Black Beetle and represent around 23 inches at 1/35. Nice job on the Crewe Tractor. I have a similar but 0 Gauge project mouldering somewhere on the "to be done later" pile, combining an RPM 1/48 Ambulance body, Kato bogie and Peco 9mm track. Good for one converted to run in the UK on 15 inch gauge.
