Holt 75 artillery tractor Roden kit 1/35
Permalink

Hi all

I just started working on the Roden Holt 75 artillery tractor

It's a short run kit, and every single piece should be cleaned up, detailed or replaced😅

I didn't went so deep in that, on the other hand I tried to make it better, at least a bit, starting from the engine.

I will be fascinated to follow your process of enhancements.
(I have just received this kit yesterday, and have been looking for references, so will pay close attention to your progress.) 🙂

Hi Michael

Thanks for following

There is plenty of pics in the net, many of them of restored vehicles, I guess.

However it's enough to make the model looking better

You can note little differences among the surviving tractors

The Holt 75 was in production for a fairly long time and there were both civilian and military (15-ton tractor) versions. The British and Russians made the Holt under licence  so it isn't too surprising there are small differences between different surviving Holts.

Really a great work!
The Roden kit is not such bad but claims for a lot of improvements. The Resicast resin is much cleaner but not perfect too.
I especially like your work on the engine!
