Recenty found a 7.7x132mm casing and would like to know more about it. Marked. Patronenfabrik. Karlsruh, Juli/1899! Was it used in 96 a/A L.F.K.?  More history about it?  Any help would be appreciate!

Possibly - conversion of the M1896 guns to n.A didn't start until 1904/5. Some a.As weren't converted and were used throughout WW1.

The Germans refilled cartridges so often the only way to know when it was last used is the markings on the percussion cap.

The real gurus on ordnance are at www.bocn.co.uk - I'd get images of the markings and ask the people there.
