Another question if I may - as the title suggests does anyone know of some dimensional information or indeed drawings for these items? I know that firing platforms were also used but the photos I wish to base a diorama on show scotches in use.
I could probably guesstimate from this images but would prefer proper measurements to model from if possible,
Found a drawing on the Landships forum (or rather Yandex found it) of the 8inch Mark II with scotches. I guess the other marks used similar.
The drawing looks like it came from a manual - so there's something else to try and find.
If you're using Matthew Holliday's 3D model why not ask him to include the scotches with the model.

Again, thank you very much, with that and the very few photos I have I should be able to work something out, especially as it gives the width as well. Using the drawing and an oblique view photo this is what I came up with, think they will do in 1/35 with the addition of an extra rope hole.
