It was very much a case of "for one appearance only". A number of attempts were made to produce a tank by adding an armoured body to a Best or Holt tractor. Their history appears to be both short and murky. At least one design http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2005-11/1114252/best-holt.jpg appears in some sources as based on a Best 75 and in others as on a Holt 75 (both tractors were very similar). An unarguable Best 75 is that already discyussed in ths thread and elsewhere http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2005-11/1114252/best75.jpg. One of the Holt plants also had a programme in which an all track Holt tractor had various wood and cancas mock up bodies fitted - http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2005-11/1114252/special182.jpg (another trial on this chassis was 'Skat the Kaiser' and apparently there were others but I havenot been able to track down any illustrations). In addition the following vehicle may have been built by the Automatic Machine Co http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2005-11/1114252/AUTOMATIC.jpg or it may have ben another mock up or just a design. AMC had a murky reputation being at one time accused of breaking various conventions (Geneva Hague etc) by producing shell casings whose fragments or splinters (misnamed shrapnel) were designed to encourage gangrenous wounds!.
