Vad,

Documents show that there are four Mk.V tanks in Lugansk:

--------
Mk.V, Male, Lugansk, Ukraine. On show PTiR 524. S16.

Mk. V, Female, Lugansk, Ukraine. On show PTiR 525. S17.

Mk. V, ? , Lugansk, Ukraine. In scrap yard PTiR 526. .S18

Mk. V, ? , Lugansk, Ukraine. .In scrap yard PTiR 527. S19.
--------

Could this data be wrong? In your images, there appears to be two Mk.V MALE tanks "on show". Also... What is happening with the Mk.Vs in the scrap yard in Lugansk, if you know? I really hope they are not broken up for scrap metal!!! Im sure there is some museum out there that would host them!

---Vil.

Edit:
Actually, I only took a cursory glance at these images. In one image, there definitely appears to be two Mk.V Males, because you can see two 57mm Sponsons in the image. But, in another image, you see a female MG sponson. Obviously there is only one conclusion - One or more of these tanks is a hermaphrodite tank!

What do you think ?

Very interesting to see indeed! Haven't seen any photos of surviving Mk V hermafrodites. Thanks for sharing! Is it OK if I post them on the site as well? (Of course giving credit to you.)

One or possibly both is a hermaphrodite. If you were to face the two tanks, the left hand one is definitely a hermaphrodite. The other may be; it would require a shot of the other side of the tank to confirm it.

When I open this thread there is absolutely no text or pictures or attachments in Vas's post! Obviously others can see them but all I get is a blank section.

There should be four thumbnail image links there. The links themselves are:

  1. http://www.zshare.net/image/1-jpg-fht.html

  2. http://www.zshare.net/image/2-jpg-0hy.html

  3. http://www.zshare.net/image/3-jpg-aw3.html

  4. http://www.zshare.net/image/4-jpg-2wy.html

Hope this helps.

2 Centurion:
How much I know, in all documents accessible to me, in Lugansk always there were 2 tanks, instead of 4. About 8 years ago (+-) there was discussion about carry of these tanks. Probably - them have brought preliminary on any platform up to the final decision. Probably is and there is a reason of occurrence of 4 tanks?
(These photos are made on a new place. Earlier they stood absolutely in other place)

Both of the tank- hermafrodites. In fact it is tanks " civil war in Russia " - how much I know, the "White army" received mainly tanks. Here and the answer.
The Tank-"Female" costs in Arkhangelsk (Russia)/ In Kharkov (Ukraine) - it seems too hermafrodite.

2 Peter Kempf - For the good person nothing is a pity. Take.

To me have given a photo of the Arkhangelsk tank. It is made one month ago. If it is interesting - I shall show.

According to the Armada booklet on tanks during the Russian Civil war (Armada horisontal series  no 14) the following tanks are preserved:

Two Mk V in Lugansk

One Mk V in Archangelsk

One mk V and one Renault FT17 in Kubinka

One Mk V in Kharkov

If Im not mistaken all Mk Vs are hermaphrodites.

I agree with you.

It seems like the Archangelsk and Kharkov Mk Vs are females.

Yet another posting from you that shows on my screen as empty! Most frustrating.

I wonder if there is something my firewall doesn't like?

Don't know whether it's a firewall problem but here's the image link:

I'm not sure if this is one of the tanks pictured above but it was taken during WWII.

Second photo is not correct. It was published in Russian magazine "Tekhnika - Molodezhi" but placed in mirror image. This tank is germafrodite.
