I stumbled onto your site, by accident, in looking for WW1 armored car info. As with my love of ACW ironclad ships, I am drawn to the quirkiness and variety of the many armored cars of this period. I collect 54mm toy soldiers, so for some time ,have been looking for armored car models in 1/32 or 1/35 to match up to my collection. I cannot afford to buy Heco or Toy Army Workshop tinplate on the aftermarket. I have attempted to build armored cars on some of the diecast car frames that one can buy cheaply from ebay. Compared to your work, they are pretty amateurish attempts. Am mostly fasinated with the Rolls Royce armored cars...Are there any 1/32 kits on the market now? Is there a link to modeling this car in some step by step basis. I am a good copier of technique, but I am a visual type...Need to see it as opposed to following directions....Would appreciate any info or advice. Thanks, Michael
I know that a company in the UK - must check up the name - either has or is preparing to issue a VERY detailed resin kit of the Rolls-Royce A/C - with interior, if I rememebers this correctly.
Dear Tim, I found that site and kit, but it was the price in U.S. dollars, that convinced me that there was a less expensive alternative....I would welcome any article concerning modeling this car. You can email me at maddadicus@comcast.net any time....Thanks, Michael
