Admiralty pattern turret question
Permalink Closed

Hi,
Would the A.P.Turret as used on the early a/cars all be of the same basic design, my reason for asking is to be able to add an open roof hatch on the turret of my 1/35 Lanchester. So far I have not been able to find an accurate drawing large enough of the Lanchester, so am wondering if the R/R turret hatch is the same.
TIA

Probably, I think that all the turrets were made in the same factory this being the only one at the time that could curve thin armour plate without cracking it. I have a 1/32nd drawing of a Lanchester - would that be good enough for you?

Thanks for the offer, I have a copy of two drawings in 1/32 (Military Modelling & Tankette), but neither has details of the hinges or locking mechanism. My Idea is to use the R/R turret for these details which are more readily obtainable.

Both turrets look very similar to me, if not identical, but I'm not sure the riveting is the same : As far as I can see on the pics, the Lanchester seems to have very few rivet on the roof...
