Hello Guys, A friend has emailed me these pictures of a shell she has, it belong to her great uncle, can any one give me some information on this shell for her.

I am interested in finding out about an old WW1 shell that I have . It resembles the small cone shaped tops of several shells in Photo # 5 in your Artillery shells--different Armies catagorie.
Would this just be the upper portion--it appears to be made of brass, with screw indents at the base, is heavy and has these markings on it.
