As sometimes happened on contemporary magazines and newspapers, the illustrations were considered unimportant or merely decorative. This way I've seen bogus "German aeroplane bomber" that in fact were Sturtevant aircraft made in the USA. Same goes with several pictures of purportedly bloody battles, which were staged or pictures of pre-war maneouvres.

I see that Seabrooks were made in the USA (Chicago?), and used by the WD, RN and RNAS, with the last ones imported into the UK in 1917. What happened to the company as i can find no reference to it?
