Recently, I built the Char Schneider (late model) from KMR in scale 1:35. It was an horrendous, but challenging task, to end up with a good result (it took me over three months). But the result is worth it (waiting a bit longer for the Emhar kit of the Char Schneider also is). I have written an elaborate article on my example, which recently featured in the IPMS Netherlands magazine. Here are some pictures showing 'some'of the improvements made and the final result.
Nice work Arlo - an attractive result from a rough model. For comparison, here is Commanders kit of the Schneider. Unfortunately, it has become one of my "shelf queens" (due to a recent promotion to "Fabricator-General" for my sons 40K army ).
I have done some wheathering (adding Tamiya Smoke to simulate oil near the idler wheels and suspension system as well as to simulate streaks of diesel leaking, caused by refuelling the tanks). I have been restrictive but it looks quite OK considering the pics on this site. I am not really an expert in adding mud. But, never say never...
don't be angry that i put the picture below too late . I saw it just some minutes ago when seekin out the pic for Eugene's MK IV tank . But it will be also interesting for those who have also to colour their model.
My special -question here to all -isn't there a book of colour -shemes of the great war ?
