Rolls-Royce AC cross-section
Permalink

Hello everybody,

for a long time now I am looking for a cross-section plan or any interior view of the RR-AC.
Since I cant find anything like that, I tried to create one by the material I have.
I combined the model plan from the Landship info-page with the chassis plan of the RR-Silver Ghost from the Rolls-Royce club site and added the driver & gunner figures from the cross-section of an Renault-tank.
So what do you think?
How about the proportion of the gunner/driver in relation to the car.
How about the heights of the floor and the driver seat.
I have no idea of the mounting of the gun.
I know the picture from the "early AC's" book but it shows no side-view.
Has someone more information or any material on this issue?

Thanks in advance

Nice job.  The Renault crew are too high up.  The seat is right on top of the floor boards that sitting on top of the frame in-between two bent angle iron supports that connect the armoured body to the frame.  The floor boards look to be just over an inch thick.  There is a step up to the bottom of the pick-up body floor boards.
