Hello James H,

The only 3 vehicles i found for the moment are the pic's below.

All signd up as military -Omnibus (sorry i don't know the english word )ashamed

First above is a DIXI on 2 ton. Fahrgestell M1
Karosserie Trutz (Coburg )

in the middle : DUX F 6

below : Büssing

A splendid effort, Gerd. The bottom one looks the likeliest. Do you know any more about the vehicle?

By the way, omnibus is the right word (= für jedermann)

Thanks for the flowers,James !

I can't find more about the DIXI but i know that this name was taken after the war

for a BMW -civil car model. So i presume it was produced by BMW in the war.

But by open up the book again i catched a page with a Benz -Daimler "truck" at the

top and a Benz- Gaggenau below . The building -up described as totaly self produced

by Mercedes (Daimler ) which was very unusable in the early years of automobile

production. Well , looking fast over the chapter about truck -produktion in germany

in WW I i read -and was not astonished - germany had to restore the whole truck

produktion cause we thought as so many countrys in a war -boys are coming home

at christmas...........

We where so silly to think to win the war with horses !!!biggrin

They managed a pruction of nearly 40000 pieces during the war -at the end

remaining 9000 never seen the front.
