I've recently been looking into the Pierce Arrow lorry fitted with the 1 pounder pom pom, and will probably get the Matador kit. I was wondering if anyone knew of where they were deployed, except Northern France? I've been reading about the WWI air raids on London and the rest of the UK recently, and read in one reference about the use of an armoured lorry fitted with an AA gun, could this have been a Pierce-Arrow?
It is possible that they were used for Home Defense, although it seems a bit wasteful to use a heavy armoured vehicle in this role.
Other uses: at least one was employed in Russia, with Locker-Lampsons force. Then there were also the Peerless AA armoured cars, that was practically identical in appearance: some of these were built for Russia and delivered in 1916.
Peerless Gun Carrier (armoured by Armstrong-Vickers) in service of Russian Empire Army and White and Red Army. I don't see Peerless in service of British Armoured Cars Division in Russia - only Pierce-Arrow, Lanchester, Rolls-royce and Ford.
And one Pierce Arrow ended up in the Latvian Army with the name "Viesturs". There have been rumors of another one in Latvian service, called the "Titanic", supposedly captured from Bermondtist troops, but that has never been confirmed.

"Viesturs" (ex "Titanic" from Freikorps, captured by Russian Army ca. 1917) is not anti-air force gun. It is normal armoured car on american Pierce-Arrow chassis with armoured body of Izhorski work (in Kolpino by St. Petersburg, Russia). Here are all pictures of Izhorski-Pierce-Arrow.

Some years ago I scratch built an AC 1915 armoured car, which lead me to the attention of Neil Robinson editor of a short live afv mag . He passed on to me a review sample of the Pierce Arrow AA lorry. Well I built it ,eventually and agonised over an accurate review, which was then sent on to the, by then, revised editorial team!?

I have yet to find my review but here finally a photo the only one I kept As I recall I had reservations as there seemed cross pollination of Pierce or Peerless features ie transmission and body shape
