Hi all!

I would like to share with you an interesting postcard I just bought. It shows a Tank Memorial within the barracks of 1st Detachment of 5th Tank Regiment in Wünsdorf. The postcard is stamped Dec. 13th 1937.

Well of course it is. If a man would stand in front of it or beside the memorial itself would be just a few cm higher than the man.

Well, Wünsdorf was occupied by the Russians. So I bet they scraped it.

I am also very happy about it, because no one knew before. As far as I know of course, because I never heard about the A7V memorial! Usually the German Wehrmacht took the old "Grosstraktor" (Great Tractor) as an exhibit. This was also done in Wünsdorf with minimum 3 different Grosstraktor as some pictures show. Like this Rheinmetall-Grosstraktor below.

Sorry, but I don't know when it was taken. But must be later than June 1940, because one of them wears the "Allgemeine Sturmabzeichen" (assault badge), which was donated on June 1st 1940. Two of them wear Verwundetenabzeichen (wound bagde) of the 2nd modell, which was first awarded in 1940 too.

P.S.: I know it is not realy WW1-era, but early after WW1.
