What is drawn on a gun? A camouflage? Not similar. A picture of the unknown artist?

Well ... why not? It looks like a landscape. This was sometimes done as camouflage. Very unusual with ancient sculptures on the bottom, but possible.

Of course, also possible that it is a artist drawing. Something like early "Tiger Meet"? ;o))

Anyway: very interesting pciture. Congratulations for this find.

Yes, really: a great find!

Could it have been done at the end of the war, as a sort of celebration, using the original camo as a start? Is there any date attached to the photo?

A great find indeed. There are some further postcards on delcampe.net showing the same landscape-camo and - if it is the same gun - one picture from the reverse side (search: canon).

Great find again. As I said in another thread: I love such foto serials.
