This is a new book out by Richard Pullen, author of The Landships of Lincoln.

According to Military Machines International magazine, February 2009, the book is available for £7.00 (seven pounds) plus £1.80 (one pound eighty pence) postage and packing direct from the author. (His address is printed in the magazine).

I found this link, which will give you an idea of the content etc, but it is a little more expensive buying from here

it can also be found on abebooks.

Thanks for the heads up - the link just goes to the home page, but you can see the cover art here, which looks very nice

Aside from this book, what others mainly feature the memoirs of tank/armoured car crew from the First World War? Those i've already read are mainly about the development, i'm currently reading "The Devil's Chariots" which seems to mostly be about the problems of development and production, and it's a great cure for insomnia!

Thanks, Rob. They have changed the link; it used to go to the cover and blurb. Honest!

Frank Mitchell's book, Tank Warfare, is the most famous memoir, I'd say. It has some very poignant parts, and is very readable.

Tanks and Trenches, by David Fletcher, is not really memoirs, but is put together from after action reports.

One of my favourites is The Boilerplate War by John Foley, which is a mix of memoirs and after action reports.

Another book is "A Company of Tanks" by Maj. W. H. L. Watson. Out of print but available as a pdf (15Mb) at the internet archive. If the size is a little large, I typed up a version which comes in at 1.5 Mb here.
