I hadn't realized it until just now when viewing my own post, but I think no. 2 and no. 3 are views of the same tank!

I'd agree - the camo scheme in both pictures appears to be identical, and it's highly unlikely that two tanks would be painted so precisely similar. I've marked up some obvious points of comparison on the attached (cf picture 3 in the above-quoted post).
Recently acquired a new view of an M1917 with an interesting camo scheme. Caption on the back describes the soldier as "Walter...He went over the top. Of the lunch counter!"
Attached is a photo of a camouflaged M1917 being used for recruiting. That is the famous "Treat 'em Rough" poster mounted on a board sitting on top of the tank. No inscription on the back of the photo.
