Gentlemen,

Does anyone knows about the use of mobile churches ( lorry mounted-on structures) at any front?.
Thank you in advance,

Eduardosmile

Eduardo - the Belgians certainly had a 'motorised chapel'. I lost my picture of it, but I shall try to find another. Stand by.

Hello Eduardo

I posted that picture somewhere else in this forum, but I can't find it anymore.

Here once again!

BTW Congrats to your ambulance. My interests are not the interwar years, but you kept the atmosphere of the 20s/30s very well. It made me remember the old Hergé comics "Tintin&Milou".

Thank You James & Peter (also for the kind words on the ambu)-I am also a fierce fan of the old glories of Tin Tin- What a delicious stories indeed!
The pic of the mobile church is awesome and inspirative! a truck-mounted altar or something so is a challenging idea for scratchbuilding.

Thank You old friend!
Both are interesting. Both photos seems to confirm, as well as PETER T´S images, that there  were modified autoas/trucks to give service at field conditions. I remember from my youngest yeas (70's), one image from an old, little book  a la "Kenneth Munson" or Ian Hogg  style depicting something that I think could be a London Bus modified in tht way.
It could be interesting to keep on the way, I am working on.
Best regards, EDUARDO

And here's another pic of a vehicle from that era, destined to bring the good news to the troops, instead of the booze and women they were undoubtedly waiting for...
