Aberdeen has had the misfortune have posessing a wonderful collection with the most miserable display format imaginable. If this were an Air Force museum, a huge hangar would've been provided long ago for all of the equipment, but the Army doesn't do as well in getting vehicles inside. The Patton Museum was the best for doing this as their curatorial staff worked to get old shop facilities (such as Richardson Motor Pool) to keep vehicles in. Not perfect, but better than outside.
I wish whoever did this report understood that "Liberty" was the name of the individual tank, rather than a proper type name. I was initially wondering about the Mk VIII. You'd think somebody on staff at the Ordnance Museum would've done so.
I'm sorry, but I've never been impressed with the ability of Aberdeen to preserve vehicles... considering how many they've allowed to be destroyed.
