Help with identification
Permalink

Hello,

I'am new on this site, although I'm member of similar forum in the Netherlands/Belgium and Spain.

I have these two german shells 7.7 cm, one from march 1916 and the other from 1917, used for the 7.7 cm FK 96 n.A.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/7.7_cm_FK_96_n.A

I want to know what the numbers and letters mean on the back.  Can anyone help me?

Best regards

GM1

Hello GM1,

the only thing I can add to the explanation on the dutch forum is that 67%Cu means that the brass case was made with an alloy of 67% copper instead of 72%.

Regards Arjen
