Here's a few pic's from old postcards, showing Dutch infantry around 1915 with Schwarzlose MG's on dog carts. During WW-1, the Dutch army slowly changed uniforms from black to field grey. Both uniforms could be seen together.
There's a re-enactor in Europe who does a dog cart with MG (that is, he has two dogs that pull the cart, not himself!), I don't know the nationality though, probably Belgian. Last year it was as an ammunition carrier, and looks really superb. Presumably he'll be at Zonnebeke next year (I believe the weekend of 25 April), as will I, which is a great WW1 event - fingers crossed my group will have at least WW1 motorcycle there
