Les Invalides, Paris

I visited Paris in Oktober and surely visited the collections at Les Invalides. It was my second time after 1998. Im remember from my fist visit, that in the side yards of the building complex there was a great number of french (and german?) WWI guns located, standing freely under the sky, but were unaccesible to the public. I took a number of fotos trough the windows and wondered why all the tubes of french WWI glory was let rusting away.
On my second visit, all guns were gone and I hope relocated to a dryer place or even undergorng restoration. Only small guns were to be found in the permanent WWI exhibition like the 37mm Puteaux for the FT-17 and the short 75mm for the Schneider.

Does someone know what had happend to this large collection in the past years?
