Anyone know what this is?  Trials of some kind, by the look of things. What are the ramps in the background?

Hi James,

that's a nice picture. Looks to me the ramps are just the garage things, for mechanics to go under a vehicle, a garage bridge is it called?
Is there a propeller seen or am I wrong. Is it may be a test bed for aircraft MG's? Or a prototype for a very fast weapons carrier...if it's a propeller it looks like the pushing type, like used on Farman's.

regards
Kieffer

Good grief. It is a propeller. In which case it looks as if it's the same vehicle as this that I posted a couple of years ago. I thought the eagle and the fancy horn looked vaguely familiar. There must be an interesting story behind this contraption.

So could the ramps be 'launching ramps' to give her a bit of impetus?
