Unknown british AC in Reval 1919.

Here is a picture from old russian book. British invasion in Reval (Estland) 1919.
What is it? Crossley? Peerless? Wroten: 1919. I think it is later, as 1919 and no Reval, or?
I have no see photos if this car in others books from Civil war in Russia.

It looks similar to the cars of the Shanghai Volunteers Corps

Very interesting, unfortunately I have no idea what this car is, but I can say for sure that I have seen a picture of a car just like this. HMMMMM!?! I will have to look for it.

Yes, they are armored cars in Shanghai. I have many photos of this kind of armored cars.
And does anyone have some more photos of them, especially the rear view? Thanks.

I'm afraid I can't suggest any alternative hosts, but if you are going to make a change I'd suggest Invision Power Board as an alternative to the forum software, as I know it to be both very stable and safe, not to mention the attachments work.

David Fletcher says in his "Mechanised Force" book that the Shanghai armoured cars were
built locally after 1927 on heavy American truck chassis with solid wheels, possibly Packards. The armour pattern was based on the Rolls Royce design. Eight of these cars were built with a single command vehicle based on a Ford chassis.

Photo from 1932 Shanghai sino-japanese war.
Interesting to see that the "backdoors" seem to be not larger than the "normal" Rolls Royce ones,
althought there is enough room to make them higher.
