working in both 1/72 and 1/35

Even though I am a 1/35 modeler, I acatuanally build 1/72 since they are quicker and look very quite and cudly when they are done! I mean the only MkI in plastic is 1/72 airfix, same for kits like K-wagen, and Lebedenko and MEdelejev from kora. But at 1/35 you find things like ICM figures and Tauro, 1/72 has hat though.

SO I think we should mix out modeling, have a prefered scale but be open to try other scales, sicne well 1/35 looks terrific if its properly detailed and researched, and 1/72 is gust plain eaiser nd dosnt take up as much space!

"this is inspired because I have recently bought several 1/72 kits to bolster my model galery, im by no means quitting the 1/35 world, but I like 1/72 as well

My own opinion is quite simple: I am envious of the 1 to 35-iers, because their models are often so, so... superb. The bigger scale allows for quite another level of detail. It happens that I use pics of 1/35 scale models as reference for my own 1/72-76-ers.

So I can see no conflict here. For me the choice has primarily personal historical reasons, i.e. I started with the Braille Scale way back, and when I took up the Hobby again, I simple took up where I left off earlier.

There are pro's and con's to both scales. But regardless of what scale you work in, you need good references. And that's one of the primary aims with this site.

And don't forget that in the gallery for other people's models, there are a couple of 1/35 scale modellers' work featured.

i too make 1:35 models, i like it because of the detail, infact all of the scracth bulding tanks i hope to do (like the skeliton tank, and maybe the mendilyev) would be in 1:35 because it is much easier to make a detailed diorama of a single vehicle.

guess what! I am making a skeleton and medelejev 1/35 tank as well, the medelejev will be pretty easy to build, the problem is that the pictures we have conflict on some details, and the skeleton tank there is a living example of it, so the scrath building will be accurate

glad to know other people do scratch building in 1/35
