Fascines at Cambrai.

A little question, anybody know how the Fascines were attached at the front of the tanks ? In the photos Ive got its hard to see where the chains come down confuse.  Thanks for any help .

There are a couple of previous enquiries about this. Here's the best pic I can find so far.

The fascine seems to be well forward, overhanging the cab quite a bit. I can't quite work out how this functioned - I assume there must have been something at the rear of the fascine to prevent it rolling forward prematurely.
