I have visited this site for years, I'm a WWI modeller and your discussions, post, and comments have been an asset. By way of an intro, I'm a 53 year old, married father of one son who is a recent Purple Heart recipient after injuries sustained in Afghanistan. He is my hero and I am very proud of his involvement.
I am currently working on the A7V by Touro, 1/35 scale. I gutted the interior and just finished a scratch built interior with the help of your posts. After I figure out how to post some photo's I will do so. Your feed back will be very welcome.
Hello Dr. G ,welcome Show us the pictures of your work, please
greetings,Hans.

Welcome aboard Dr G, I have an unfinished Tauro A7V, but all I need to do now is finish the paintwork and decide how many crewmen to make for a small diorama ! Paul

WELCOME!!!!! Hope you enjoy your stay with us, you should fit in very nicely. Just to note, my son is also in the army (British ) and is back out there in 2012.
Thanks Michel, I will get started taking some photo's of past and present work. Are you familiar with Aoto Dix? I did a scratch build, at least my interpretation of his "Der Craig." I also recently completed a 1/16 Ft-17 and incorporated it into a diorama using Model Cellar, Verlinden, and scratch built and converted figures. I will send that out as well, every ones feed back would be great.
Yes! Der Krieg by Otto Dix. I'm a great speller eh! Nonetheless, I reproduced the larger center picture of the War Triptych in 1/16. I will pot pics in the next day or two. In regard to the A7V I'm doing the Wotan version, with alittle artistic licensing. I believe I spelled Wotan correctly?
Aha! Otto Dix was actually the main suggestion by Google, when trying to find Aoto Dix... I'm intrigued to see your interpretation of his art! Wotan is indeed spelled correctly. Are the decals for this version included in the Tauro kit, or would you need them printed?
The decals did indeed come with the kit. I am planning on doing a 1 35 scale FT-17, the 6 ton version. I will let you know if the decals are suitable, if not, I will enjoy patronizing your decal inventory. Any suggestions where I might purchase an engine for the FT-17? It would be alot of work for a scratch build!
You could try Jadar Hobby from Poland (www.jadarhobby.pl) who stock loads of resin kits and accessories in 1/35 and other scales. They're absolutely reliable.
Great sight, Jadar Hobby seems to have what I will need. Any recommendations on decals from your store for the AEF 6-Ton FT-17 version? I sure ask a lot of questions, sorry.
Thanks again, I will do just that once I get started on the project. I did notice on your web page that you carry 1/16 scale for the Mk V WWI. I did a large diorama with the Verlinden 1/16 WWI Mark. At the time I was unable to locate proper scale decals, so I hand painted the lettering. It was OK, but I will order the more appropriate ones from you.
Hello, and thanks for your response. The figures are 120mm, a combination of Model Cellar and Verlinden. The German in the trench on his back is a model cellar conversion. The ammo pouches with the kit were larger than they should, so I scratch built new ones, the head is from my remnants box off old stuff. The bandage on his hand is done in foil.
